Глагол узнать передается на английский язык глаголами know, recognize, learn и find out. по голосу – to know a person by his voice, не узнать кого-л. – not to know a person again. никогда не передается глаголом know и соответствует английским learn и find out (смешение глаголов know и learn является одной из частых ошибок изучающих английский язык). усилий, может быть, случайно; find out предполагает желание разузнать, связанные с этим усилия и, может быть, трудности; часто переводится на русский язык словами разузнать, выяснить: случайно узнать правду – to learn the truth by accident, сделать все от себя зависящее, чтобы узнать (разузнать) правду – to make every possible effort to find out the truth.
